(1) There shall be an independent National Information Commission for the protection, promotion and promotion of the right to information. (2) The Commission shall consist of a Chief Information Commissioner and two other Information Commissioners (3) There will be a committee as follows to recommend appointment to the post of Chief Information Commissioner and Information Commissioner:-
(a) Speaker – Chairman “(b) Minister of Communication and Information Technology or Minister of State – Member
(c) Chairman, Nepal Journalist Federation - Member
(4) On the recommendation of the committee under sub-section (3), the Government of Nepal shall appoint the Chief Information Commissioner and the Information Commissioner. (5) The committee as per sub-section (3) shall follow the principle of inclusiveness as far as possible while making recommendations for appointment to the post of Chief Information Commissioner and Information Commissioner.
(6) The procedure to be followed while recommending the appointment in accordance with sub-section (3) shall be as determined by the recommendation committee.
